Chinese leak-assist we know of as Weibo, today got us a render of OnePlus 4. We are not completely new to the device as we already heard a rumor of August 2017 release date, but today, we get some specs for you to chew on.
The OnePlus 4 is said to be full made of glass body, which will supposedly house a — you guessed it — Snapdragon 830 chipset, the same we expect to power the likes of other 2017 flagships in HTC 11, Galaxy S8, LG G6, etc.
Further down the specifications sheet, the rumors says it here that OnePlus 4 would sport of a 6GB and/or 8GB RAM, that will be supported with whopping 128GB of internal storage. All of this powered by a 4000mAh battery, phew!
If you noticed every spec getting a boost here, there is one getting a down. Not exactly down, but reduced to lesser size, as the display is rumored to be of 5.3-inches in size, all the while powered by 2K resolution — this will the first time OnePlus will use the Quad HD screen resolution, as its OnePlus 3 features Full HD, also expected on the upcoming OnePlus 3T too (said to release on November 15).
And we still have more. The OnePlus 4 camera — dual cameras to be exact — could be supporting Augmented reality (AR) too. Well, that isn’t the only ‘too’ here, as it’s rumored to support Mixed Reality (MR) too.
Yup, OnePlus wants to take things one notch up, and we think this is why they needed to some extra months to prepare well for all of this, thus pushing the release date to August in place of June, which is when OnePlus 3 launched this year.
And lastly, as you can see in the leaked OnePlus 4 render above, there is also a mention of this while package being handed to you with OnePlus 5 moniker. We’ll definitely know more in next few months.
Thoughts?
In other news, OnePlus is looking push the OnePlus 3 Android 7.0 Nougat update beta this month, to be followed with stable update in December.
