After rolling out the first OnePlus 3T update as OxygenOS 3.5.3 yesterday, the OnePlus team is releasing a new — similar, yes — update for the OnePlus 3, and it comes as OxygenOS 3.2.8 build. In case you have any doubts over OnePlus not supporting the OP3 anymore with regular updates, this should put them to rest.
While the 3.2.8 update is based on Marshmallow, we know for sure that the OnePlus 3 Nougat is in the making, having seen a teaser from the founder himself, and also repeated confirmation from the company. The community beta of OnePlus 3 Nougat update is expected this month — it’s so close to release we can smell it! — with the stable Android 7.0 OTA scheduled for next month.
The changelog OP3 OOS 3.2.8 update is similar to the OP3T one, but not same exactly. The feature that could be found in both the updates is ’emergency calling’ being added to Indian users, while the other features part of the update are: addition of 60FPS video recording at Full HF res of 1080p, and optimization for Snapchat app, including fixes for video calling and scrolling lag.
That rounds up the update for the most part, with the general fixes the last item on the changelog. Find the word-to-word changelog below.
Changelog
- Added 1080P 60FPS video recording
- Added emergency calling for India (Triple press of power button to trigger)
- Optimization of Snapchat, fixed video calling and scrolling lags
- Increased system stability
- General bug fixes
