New Sprint Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge OI1 update readies it for Samsung Pay

Both of Sprint Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are set for a an update today, one that brings Samsung Pay app (if not already) and support to gear up the devices for the launch of the service. The build no. of the update is G920PVPU3BOI1 and G925PVPU3BOI1 respectively for Sprint S6 and S6 Edge.

Even though promised long back when Samsung launched these two devices, Samsung pay will be usable by people only now for real. Even if you had the app earlier, you couldn’t use it as the service wasn’t available.

The update carries some system level tweaks too. it’s not confined to Samsung Pay app only.

It’s good to see Samsung Pay finally coming into play, not that Android Pay is already making good ground in this pay-by-mobile times.

If you care for root, then know that installing the update would break root access, and you may need to re-install stock recovery back in case you installed TWRP earlier.
