Sony’s latest high-end smartphone Xperia XZs which made its debut in February alongside the premium model Xperia XZ Premium has received its first firmware update. The update is being rolled out to Sony Xperia XZs over the air and it installs the latest monthly security patch.
Arriving as firmware version 41.2.A.0.235, the update installs May security patch and in all probability should carry regular bug fixes and system improvements. The file size of the update is over 100MB.
Both the single SIM (G8231) and dual SIM (G8231) versions of Xperia XZs are receiving the firmware update. However, Sony is rolling it out in select regions as of now and should soon expand the release.

If you own a Sony Xperia XZs and haven’t received the update yet, you can check for it manually by heading to Settings > About device > System updates. Keep two things in mind before installing the update. Ensure that your phone is at least 50 percent charged and that it is connected to a WiFi network.
