Motorola Moto XT1791 clears FCC, powered by 3000 mAh battery

A new device from Motorola has made an appearance at FCC. As of now, we’ve only gotten a little bit of information, which is that the device comes with a 3000mAh battery, and that it is powered by Snapdragon 430 processor. The device also appears to carry the model number XT1791.

Based on currently circulating rumors and previous Motorola models, this new Moto device may belong to the lower end Moto E series. But the current gen Moto E3 Power had a larger battery and the next version of that device is slated to get a larger juice pack if the rumors are to be believed.

The entry-level section begins with the recently launched Moto C which comes with 1GB of RAM and a 2350mAh battery. So, with the limited information at hand, we cannot confirm whether this is a budget device or not. Motorola doesn’t follow a strict naming scheme so it’s difficult to tell where this smartphone belongs.

This mystery smartphone may be the start of a new category of Moto devices, but that’s just our guess. Perhaps we’ll get to know more on this smartphone when the device clears other certification agencies. Talking about the Moto G series, leaked renders of the Moto G5S have surfaced online.
