Moto Z Force Droid receive December security patch in USA

The Moto Z Force Droid edition is receiving the December security patch now. Nougat for the device arrived back in mid November. The update will bring bug fixes and feature performance and stability improvements over the previous builds.

The OTA update is currently on the roll as we speak. If you haven’t received the update notification yet, be sure to check for it manually from Settings » About phone » System update. Also, know that you cannot downgrade to a previous software version from this update once installed.

With a 5.5 inch quadHD display, 4GB of RAM, 3500mAH battery and the Snapdragon 820 packed in side, the Moto Z Force is a quite the performance monster. Add in a 21MP camera and you would think this is a killer smartphone. But Motorola went further and made it compatible with the rest of the Moto Z family for Moto Mods.

More third party Mods are expected to come this year, but based on the design of the next flagship, the second generation of Moto Mods may vary or even be incompatible with the first gen. Maybe Motorola will surprise us this year by bringing newer and more fun Mods but that remains to be seen. The Modular concept still hasn’t caught on to the public with even LG going so far as to drop their own modular project that was the LG G5.

A few more Motorola smartphones are in line for the Nougat update, with the Moto X Pure, Moto Z Play and Moto G4 Play next in line for the update.
