Android L Developer Preview was released on 25th June 2014 at Google I/O 2014 and all Android users want their devices to get updated to new release when its available. Motorola has confirmed that Moto X and Moto G will be updated to Android L once final version is released by Google.
Motorola customer support confirmed the Android L update when a user asked them over Web chat, though nothing is known for Moto E yet. Still it is very early to say that it is final that only Moto X and Moto G will be updated to Android L as there is a long time for winter.
Android L mainly makes use of Material Design across the apps and ART is switched on as default compiler replacing Dalvik. There are various API changes too which will make your Android experience even better than before.
Moto G and Moto X has completely turned the Motorola brand image and now they are most sought smartphones among the vanilla mid range Android users. Moto G is available in Dual SIM variant too and has tasted huge success in both established and emerging markets while Moto X customization tools earned Moto X brownie points fast updates by Motorola and Google made sure users are content with their devices.
So if Motorola plan is to update Moto G and Moto X to Android L all Motorola users  will now patiently hold on to their devices as they know sweetness is coming for them.
