Berserker’s Stone sits in a locked chest at the Temple of Vatra. Reach it early by traveling from Widow’s Overlook through Mushroom Village and One Legged Wolf, then light the three nearby fire pits and loot the unlocked chest.
Grab Berserker’s Stone early for a major melee power spike in Mortal Shell 2. The route begins at Widow’s Overlook, passes through the corruption gate, and ends with a three-fire puzzle inside the Temple of Vatra. Once equipped, the stone increases your melee damage as your Health falls.

Berserker’s Stone is a Support Tarstone that makes you hit harder as your Health drops. It fits aggressive melee builds that trade blows at close range and spend plenty of time in the danger zone. At its base level, it increases melee damage as your Health falls. Every upgrade raises the maximum bonus and expands the Health range in which it activates.
Key The chest sits along an early route, letting you equip Berserker’s Stone well before the rest of your build comes online. Pick it up as soon as you reach the temple.
Before you take the Heart of Vatra

The early route runs from Widow’s Overlook through Mushroom Village, past a corruption gate, on to the One Legged Wolf Beacon, and finally into the Temple of Vatra. It overlaps with the Gragu questline, so you will travel through this area anyway.
Loot Berserker’s Stone before taking the Heart of Vatra from the statue at the top of the temple. Taking the Heart changes the temple and blocks the routes back to the chest. In launch-era builds, this was a permanent lockout that carried into NG+. The effect of the August 19 Hotfix 2.0 on that lockout is unknown, so collect the stone first and remove the risk entirely.
Open the Berserker’s Stone chest before you touch the Heart of Vatra — the temple can seal behind you once the Heart is taken, so grab the stone on your first visit.

How to get Berserker Stone in Mortal Shell 2
The chest sits just off the temple approach and unlocks after you light the three fire pits scattered around its chamber. You can light them in any order, but all three must be burning before the chest opens.
Clear the courtyard node
Enter the temple and cleanse the glowing corrupt node in the central courtyard.

Find the sealed chest
Climb the stone stairs and enter the ruined chamber. The sealed chest stands in the middle of the room.

Light the fire pit left of the chest
Light the pit on the ground directly to the left of the chest.

Light the pit by the statue pillar
Light the second pit inside the statue pillar to the right of the chest.

Light the pit on the brickwork
Light the final pit on the brickwork behind and to the left of the chest. This is the easy one to miss.

Open the chest and equip the stone
Loot Berserker’s Stone from the unlocked chest, then equip it in the Support slot.

Getting the most melee damage out of it
| Level | Melee damage bonus |
|---|---|
| Level 1 | Improves melee damage as your Health drops |
| Level 2 | Up to 130% at 35% Health or below |
| Level 3 | Up to 140% at 40% Health or below |
| Level 4 | Up to 165% at 50% Health or below |
Berserker’s Stone turns low Health into your strongest melee damage window. It excels in low-Health, high-aggression builds and pairs especially well with melee-focused shells such as Smert or Eredrim. It also works with any shell, providing a powerful damage surge when a fight turns against you. The largest bonuses activate at genuinely risky Health, so use clean dodges, careful positioning, and controlled aggression to stay alive while the buff is active.
Each upgrade widens the Health threshold, allowing you to spend more of every fight inside the buffed range.

Upgrade Berserker’s Stone at the Tarforge in Marrow Keep. The Tarforge becomes available after you give Franz the Etching Needle, found inside a bone chest shortly before the Magdalena, the Lady of the Woods fight. Keep the stone equipped, earn kills with it, and return to Franz to pay the Coin cost for each level. Bring a healthy Coin buffer before starting the upgrades because the exact amounts are not listed.
