To get to Nox’s Bayou in Mina the Hollower, start from Ossex, head into the Western Wilds, then push south through the Backwaters until you reach the bayou route. The fastest path is: Ossex gates → Western Wilds → occupied bridge → lava section → Backwaters: Shanty Swamp → Nox’s Bayou.
How to Get to Nox’s Bayou
Step 1: Exit Ossex town
Leave the area in front of the gates to Ossex where the two guards stand, then turn left onto the next tile map.

This is the starting point for the route that leads to the Western Wilds and eventually Nox’s Bayou.

Step 2: Push west, then north
On the next maps, go left again, then head up/north.

That sequence takes you into Western Wilds: Occupied Bridge, which is the first major region marker on the correct route.

Step 3: Cross the Western Wilds
Keep moving through the Western Wilds and use the local terrain rules to open the path.

If red crystals block your route, use the nearby lava mechanics to clear them, since that’s the intended way forward in this area.

Step 4: Enter the Backwaters
After the Western Wilds, continue into the Backwaters.

Stay on the main swamp route.

If you see crows, puddles, and muddy water sections, you’re still on track.

The bayou is beyond this stretch.

Step 5: Finish the bayou approach
Continue through the swamp.

Until you reach the purple watery bayou zone. A common landmark is the large lake with wooden platforms; from there, the bayou lies farther west/southwest depending on your current room layout.

Route notes
If you’re lost, the simplest rule is to keep moving away from Ossex and toward the swampy western regions until you transition into Nox’s Bayou. If a path looks blocked by crystals, lava interaction is usually the intended solution in the Western Wilds rather than looking for another route.
Critical mistakes to avoid
-
Don’t try to brute-force the route from Ossex through random exits; the correct path goes through Western Wilds and then Backwaters.
-
Don’t ignore lava-blocked paths in the Western Wilds, because those are often progression gates rather than optional obstacles.
-
Don’t confuse the bayou route with collectible side paths or frog-related detours; those are separate objectives inside the region, not the main access route.
What happens when you arrive
Once you reach Nox’s Bayou, you’re in the intended region tied to the next generator objective and bayou progression content. The area is also used for collectibles and side objectives, which is a good sign you’ve reached the right zone.
Nox’s Bayou is reached by following the main west-to-south progression from Ossex through Western Wilds and the Backwaters, not by a hidden shortcut. The cleanest route is straightforward once you know the landmarks, and it avoids wasting time on dead ends.
Seems like Nox’s Bayou has a pretty intricate path. How tricky is the navigation there?
