The 2016 product release schedule for Meizu devices got leaked on the web today, and it reveals, well, release date for some past products and those we expect to launch soon: Meizu X and Meizu M5 Note.

The release roadmap has the Meizu X up for release on November, which we know as sure thing thanks to various leaks of the device, while the Meizu M5 Note release date looks set for December 2016.

The Meizu X release is in tandem with the release of Flyme 6, Meizu’s custom skin over Nougat. Images revealing new colors for the Meizu X were also leaked today.

The Meizu M5 Note is pretty much the same as the M5 with the inclusion of antenna bands on the back of the device and the obviously bigger size. Check out the leaked images of the M5 Note. Unlike the Meizu X which ships with Nougat out of the box, the M5 Note is expected to come with Marshmallow 6.0.1 as revealed from the AnTuTU benchmarks leak.

Meizu is doing a good job with keeping its current line of devices up to date with the exception of a few which will not receive the Nougat update. But, the delay is disappointing — maybe Meizu could learn a thing or two from its local competitor, Huawei, who already has the Nougat beta out for Honor 8, while its P9 has some Nougat firmware available on the web too, with stable Android 7.0 build released in Philippines.
