There are two Crowbars in Lineage Piece, and both are static pickups on Starter Island — one by the red-roof house and tree near Cid, and the other on the beach to the left of the teleporter/harbor.
Cid’s quest opens with a single tracker line — Collect 2 Crowbar (0/2) — and no map markers to help you, so it plays out as a short navigation puzzle rather than a fight. The good news is that both Crowbars sit in fixed ground spots you can reach in under a minute, and neither one is hidden behind enemies or a locked door.
Where both Crowbars spawn on Starter Island
| Crowbar | Location |
|---|---|
| First Crowbar | Under the tree by the red-roof house, in the corner of the village opposite the harbor |
| Second Crowbar | On the beach to the left of the teleporter, near a tall wooden pole |
Key Both spawns are on Starter Island, also called Dawnwind Village, and that is the only island you need for this step. The quest tracks as Collect 2 Crowbar, so you are looking for exactly two pickups and nothing more.
How to collect both Crowbars in Lineage Piece
Start Cid’s quest, then run the short loop from his corner of the village out to the harbor beach to grab both pickups.
STEP 1/3
Talk to Cid and start his quest

Find the Cid NPC in the corner of Dawnwind Village and interact with him to receive the Collect 2 Crowbar (0/2) objective.
STEP 2/3
Grab the first Crowbar by the tree

Head to the sandy patch under the large tree beside the red-roof house close to Cid, and circle the trunk from a few angles until the pickup prompt appears.
STEP 3/3
Grab the second Crowbar on the beach

Run to the harbor, drop onto the sand to the left of the teleporter, and follow the shoreline to the lone tree and wooden pole where the second Crowbar rests.
Both Crowbars are static spawns in the same place for every player, and they sit visibly on the ground even before the quest is active — so you can eyeball both spots on your way through the village.

What to do after grabbing both Crowbars
Once the counter hits 2/2, head back to Cid to keep the questline moving toward the Stylish Bandit Beater and, further down the line, the Shadow weapon. Turning in the crowbars themselves is a quick milestone — the pickup that completes the pair rewards a small bump of 250 G$ and pushes you to Level 5.
The next requirement is a damage-soak objective before the weapon unlocks, though community guides list the figure inconsistently — anywhere from 2.5 million to 5,000,000 total damage taken — so treat it as a sit-and-tank grind rather than a fixed number to plan around. After that clears, Cid sells the Stylish Bandit Beater, which is the key that starts the Shadow chain.

Common Crowbar pickup mistakes to avoid
The biggest time-waster is leaving Starter Island. Both Crowbars live in Dawnwind Village, so there is no reason to hop to another island to hunt for them. They also don’t drop from bandits and aren’t tucked inside a toolbox — farming enemies for them gets you nothing, since they are plain ground items.
If a Crowbar refuses to appear or your counter stays stuck at 0/2 after you’ve clearly walked over the spot, rejoining a fresh server usually resets the pickup and lets you grab it cleanly.
