LG has a series of X phones that are mostly sold in Korea, among them the LG X5 2018. No, this isn’t to be confused with the LG G7 One that goes by the aka LG X5, rather, this is a budget phone powered by a MediaTek MT6750 chipset and runs Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

LG X5 Android 9 Pie update
- Only the 2018 model is eligible for Android Pie
- The update will arrive in Q4 2019
LG recently made its plans official in regards to Android 9 Pie update. To no surprise, the budget LG X5 2018 has been scheduled to receive Pie in Q4 2019, but we still don’t have an exact date.
That’s not a surprise considering how hard it can get with keeping software release date promises, so it’s understandable that LG has a general date. In case of any changes, we will update this post to reflect the new info.
