The Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro are expected to go official on October 16 during an event in London. While we wait for that to happen, a series of new press materials have leaked online confirming (some of) the specs.
Here are the features highlighted by the leaked material posted by SlashLeaks.
- 15W wireless charging
- SuperCharger 2.0 (40W?)
- microSD + nano SD
- stereo speakers
- 3D Face Unlock (for Pro version?)
- In-display fingerprint scanner (for Pro version?)
A source also revealed its knowledge of the Mate 20 by stating that the phone will feature a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution. There’s also going to be a new Kirin 980 processor on board that will work in concert with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
The insider also mentions a 24MP front-facing camera, 4,000 mAh battery, 3.5mm headphone jack and IP53 rating.

As for the higher-end Mate 20 Pro, the phone will arrive with an OLED QHD curved display, and the same Kirin 980 processor. However, it will ship with more RAM (6GB + 128GB of storage) and a larger 4,200 mAh battery. The handset will benefit from a IP67 rating and come sans 3.5mm headphone jack. Both phones will ship with Android Pie out of the box. With Huawei’s EMUI skin on top, obviously.
