A new update is available for the Google Street View app on Android. If you’re a Street View Trusted Photographer or a level 6+ Local guide, only then will you be able to use the new features. Regular users, however, are going to benefit from the results.

For Trusted photographers and Local guides (level 6+), Google has enabled a new Video Mode in the app. This allows you to record Street View while you’re on a bike, or driving, or even walking. You can then preview the record 360 immersive videos before publishing them on  Street View.

You also have the ability to view the videos on the map as a track, which shows the total distance that you covered. The videos will all be stored in a separate folder for ease of access. Apart from that, the app also includes several bug fixes and stability improvements.

If you’re a regular user of the Street View, then you will start seeing new immersive 360 videos of places around you, improving your experience on the app. Google recently released some new apps such Google Go and Datally, expanding its reach.
