Huawei is preparing to bring a new smartwatch to the US. The Huawei Watch GT was recently spotted at the FCC, so we can assume the product will launch soon.

The wearable also received certification in Europe earlier this month. But unfortunately, not a lot of details about the upcoming smartwatch were actually revealed in the listings. According to the FCC, the device will feature a 410 mAh battery, GPS and NFC.

Further, we can assume that given that Huawei has had a rather consistent track record when it comes to smartwatch design, that the upcoming GT model will also feature a circular display.

Internally, we hope the upcoming wearable will take advantage of Qualcomm’s newly released 3100 wearable chipset which comes to replace the rather old Snapdragon 2100. The main highlight of this new processor is that it was built to sustain a longer battery life.

Presumably, the smartwatch will also take advantage of 4GB of storage and 768 MB of RAM. But this is just speculation from our part, at this point.

What we do know for sure is that Huawei has scheduled a press event for October 16 in London, where the company is expected to unveil the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro flagship. So it’s a possibility that the company will also introduce a new smartwatch in the form of the Watch GT during the event.
