After rolling out the beta program for Honor 6X Android Nougat update in the US in March, Huawei has finally started rolling out the stable build of the Nougat OS. The roll out was commenced yesterday to all Honor 6X users in the US as an OTA update.
The new firmware update installs the EMUI 5.0 build based on Android 7.0 on Honor 6X. And with it comes all the goodies carried by Nougat which include split-window mode, improved menu settings, the Doze mode for better battery performance and many more features.
If you are in the US and own a Honor 6X and still haven’t received the Nougat update, do not fret. As the update is being rolled out over the air, it may take a while to appear on your device. Better still, you can check for it manually by heading to Settings > About device > System updates.
