Huawei Honor 5C Nougat update: Android 7.0 Nougat officially rolling out now

Update [April 08, 2017]: The Huawei Honor 5C is finally getting out of beta testing Nougat. That’s right, the final stable build of Nougat is being rolled out as we speak. The OTA update will not only let you rock EMUI 5.0 but will also enable VoLTE support on your device. New features from Nougat also include a redesigned UI, quick reply from notification shade, bundled notifications, multi window support and much more.


The Huawei Honor 5C Nougat update should be coming soon as the company is now looking for volunteers willing to test the Android 7.0 Nougat preview version for Honor 5C devices in India.

The beta program is applicable to only Huawei Honor 5C devices from India with model number NEM- L22. Also, the device should be running a firmware version between NEM-L22C675B140 – B151 to be eligible for the Nougat beta update.

The recruitment process for beta program is planned out in two batches. The first batch will be consisting of 50 users, while the second will include 100 users.

Eligibility criteria for the Honor 5C Nougat beta is as follows:

  • You should own Honor 5C device.
  • You should actively participate and support other Honor fans and Moderator(s).
  • You should spare at least 2 hours daily for testing and reporting issues.
  • You should be ready to share personal details such as Contact number, IMEI and email id for us to support better.

The Huawei Android Nougat update comes with EMUI version 5.0. The company has so far released the Nougat update to Honor 8, P9, Nova and Mate 8 devices.
