Huawei begins Honor 6X Nougat update beta program in USA

Huawei had earlier revealed that they plan to release the Android 7.0 update for their Honor 6X in Q2 2017, and it looks like they have begun preparing well for it.
The company just announced via their Twitter handle that the beta program for Honor 6X Nougat update is going live today, and those interested in testing out the EMUI 5.0 build based on Android 7.0, can start applying.

Speaking of which, if you own Honor 6X in USA, and wish to test the Nougat update under beta program, before the stable build is release sometime in April-May 2017, all you need to do is send you IMEI no. to Huawei at this email address of theirs — huaweifut@huawei.com. In case yours is dual SIM set, send two IMEI nos. instead of one.

If you are selected, you will be let known of that, we suppose. But Huawei has remained silent on the course further.

If you don’t mean to rush, and prefer stable Android 7.0 build on your Honor 6X, this is still good news as now you know that Huawei has the test Nougat build ready for beta testers, and should be able to develop final build for public release in a matter of month or two — that’s the distance between you and your Honor 6X Nougat release.
