Huawei is working on Android 8.0 update which will be based on EMUI 6, a new leak suggests. The Chinese OEM is planning to soon launch the new update.
With the launch of Android 8.0 based EMUI 6, Huawei devices will experience enhanced user experience as compared to the current Nougat based EMUI 5. As per a tipster who posted on Chinese mircoblogging site Weibo, Yu Chengdong, CEO of the Huawei Consumer BG and Huawei Device, has confirmed the news.
Yu Chengdong, during a keynote speech at the 2017 China Internet Conference held in Beijing, said that Huawei has been working on optimizing Huawei Android 8.0, which is to be launched soon.

He further stated that the EMUI 6 will bring more smooth user experience. He collaborated this statement with the fact that Huawei’s 4GB of RAM will bring more smooth experience than 6GB of RAM on other devices.
Another company which has already confirmed Android 8.0 update to its already launched devices is Nokia. HMD Global, the firm behind the new Nokia handsets has confirmed that the trio of Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6, will be upgraded to Android 8.0 (O).
Android 8 is the upcoming OS update from Google. It was officially announced in May at Google I/O conference 2017. The OS is slated for release in late Q3 2017.
