HTC U 11 retail box art reveals specs

Looks like we may have the official hardware specifications for the HTC U 11. The newest flagship from HTC is all set to be announced on May 16.

We’ve seen a lot of leaks and even official teasers on the HTC U 11. Now, a new photo showing the retail box art for the smartphone has leaked online. As you can see in the box art above, most of the device specs have been outed.

As per the retail box, the HTC U 11 would feature the Snapdragon 835 processor, a 5.5-inch QHD display protected with Gorilla Glass 5, 6GB of RAM, 12MP Ultrapixel 3 camera at the back, OIS, a 16MP camera at the front, IP57 water resistant, microSD Slot, HTC Usonic, HTC BoomSound, Edge Sense, 3D Audio-recording, Dual-SIM, and more.

This pretty much confirms all the rumors and leaks we’ve seen so far, as most of them have pointed out to the same specs. The most important feature that we’re looking forward to, is Edge Sense. We should know other details such as price and availability in a few weeks!

  1. Those specs really good and that front camera is sure to attract selfie addicts to choosing this over the S8 or G6.This was everything I expected it to have but there doesn’t seem to be a battery capacity mentioned so I’ll take this with a pinch of salt.So far the features seem really good especially that 6gb of RAM which will make this a no-brainer against the S8 in the US for the people who don’t mind not having that infinity display 😉

  2. talk about specs leak, this leaked image gives u every possible feature there is on HTC U11, some of those r as expected like the 5.5″ QHD screen, SD835, 4G, NFC and quick charge 3.0, some r pleasant surprises like for the first time IP67 certification, 12MP rear camera that also with HTC’s ultrapixel technology with insane 16MP front camera, beefed up 6GB RAM and comeback of HTC’s famous BOOMSOUND, but the features that catch my eye was the EDGE sense feature, u can say goodbye to all the external protruding buttons and 3.5mm jack but to have a sense feature for that purpose is new and innovative, comes with bunch of other sensors as well but it will be good to see how exactly that Edge Sense features work and most importantly will they be able to make it more easier than pressing a button? only luanch will tell..

    1. Agreed. 🙂 I too am very hyped about how they have implemented this. It might be a final goodbye to all the buttons on the side which are the last of the obstacles keeping phones from being that perfect unibody slab of metal/glass with beautiful finishing and feel.

  3. Hype! Still waiting to see what the edge sense does.
The model offering 6GB of RAM which is better than s8. I am waiting to see if they are using amoled or LCD this time. I hope it’s amoled though.

    1. Seeing how they’ve adapted so much, most likely AMOLED .

    2. I hope so..
