How to get rid of the ‘Streaming on too many devices’ error?

To stop this error from restricting you from streaming your favorite show or movie, you will have to sign out of devices that are currently using your account.

You can also ask your family member or friend to stop from their side, to access your show or movie. Let’s take a look at how you can sign out of devices that you are not using to remove this error.

On Computer

Open HBO Max in your browser and log in to your account. Now click on your profile icon in the top right corner of your screen to access your account settings.

Tap on ‘Manage devices‘ in the right sidebar. This will show you a list of all the devices signed in to HBO Max using your account.

Now tap on ‘Sign out‘ beside the devices that were recently used on your account. You will be able to see the last time they were used below their name under the ‘Last Used‘ section.

You will now be signed out of the selected devices and you will no longer face the error for ‘Streaming on too many devices‘.

On Phone

Open the HBO Max app on your mobile device and tap on the profile icon in the bottom right corner of your screen.

You will now be taken to your profile page in the HBO Max app, tap on the ‘Gear‘ icon in the top left corner to access your settings.

Tap on ‘Manage devices‘ to get a list of devices associated with your account.

Now tap on the ‘X‘ beside the most recently used devices to remove them from your account. This will stop any current streaming sessions which should get rid of the ‘Streaming on too many devices‘ error for you.
