The fastest way to farm Salvage Scrap and Refined Scrap in Fisch is to harpoon Crushed Diving Helmets in Gloomy Crevice — every successful helmet gives Salvage Scrap, with a chance to also drop Refined Scrap.
Scrap farming in Fisch is refreshingly low-effort once you know the spot. It all happens down in The Deep, inside the green-lit chasm called Gloomy Crevice, and it leans on a single tool rather than any vendor or crafting menu. Here’s exactly how the run works.
The Gloomy Crevice scrap setup
| Need | Details |
|---|---|
| Location | Gloomy Crevice, reached through The Deep |
| Target | Crushed Diving Helmet (a trash item) |
| Tool | Harpoon Gun |
| Drops | Salvage Scrap and Refined Scrap |
Key This whole farm runs off one target, so there’s no juggling two routes. Both Salvage Scrap and Refined Scrap come off the Crushed Diving Helmet, which means a single loop in Gloomy Crevice covers everything you’re after. The setup itself is short:
How to farm Salvage Scrap and Refined Scrap in Fisch
This is the full farm from top to bottom — one trip down to Gloomy Crevice and a Harpoon Gun is all it takes.
STEP 1/4
Drop down to Gloomy Crevice

Head into The Deep and follow the Nereus questline all the way down until Gloomy Crevice loads in.
STEP 2/4
Scan the walls for helmets

Swim the lower depths and along the sides of the crevice, watching for the Crushed Diving Helmet trash item stuck to the rock.
STEP 3/4
Harpoon each helmet

Equip the Harpoon Gun, line up a helmet, and finish the pull mini-game to reel it in.
STEP 4/4
Chain helmets until you’re stocked

Keep sweeping the bottom and side walls, harpooning helmet after helmet until you have enough scrap.

Salvage Scrap versus Refined Scrap drops
| Material | Drop |
|---|---|
| Salvage Scrap | Guaranteed on every successful harpoon |
| Refined Scrap | Chance-based bonus (seen at 10.00% and 30.00%) |
Key The two scraps behave differently on each catch. Salvage Scrap is the dependable half — land a clean harpoon on a Crushed Diving Helmet and one drops, every time. Refined Scrap is the extra roll layered on top, and it doesn’t show up on every helmet. The “Extra Find” rate attached to it isn’t fixed, so don’t plan around a single Refined Scrap percentage — just keep harpooning and let volume do the work.
Keeping the harpoon loop fast

Keep the Harpoon Gun equipped the entire session so every spotted helmet is an instant shot instead of a re-draw — that alone tightens the farm loop noticeably.
Older routes to skip
One last thing worth flagging: the route above is the current, working one, and it doesn’t match some of the other advice floating around. You don’t need to sell spare gear or drops to a vendor, you don’t need an auto-farming macro, and you don’t have to unlock a Scrap Bot in Deep City or grind Scoria Reach to see scrap. Those methods either don’t line up with how Crushed Diving Helmets drop scrap right now or belong to older progression. If a future update reworks scrap farming some of that could come back into play — but for the moment, Gloomy Crevice and the Harpoon Gun are all you need.
