How long does it take to create a Clubhouse account?
The time taken to create a Clubhouse account is probably not more than a few minutes. It’s what comes after that is agonizing for those who don’t have an invite code. It takes a few minutes to download the Clubhouse app and depending on whether you link your Twitter/Instagram (or both) account or manually type in instruction, another few minutes tops to set up your account.
If you don’t have an invite code, then Clubhouse will reserve your username and keep you on a waitlist.
Only on rare occasions do they let someone off the waitlist, onto the app. We reckon they have a screening process and those users who are famous and have a strong userbase have higher chances of getting in quickly.

How long is the wait after reserving a username?
Some users have been on the waitlist for as long as six months to access all the features on the app so it’s difficult to predict the timeline of the wait. It’s best to look for ways to get an invite at this point because Clubhouse is preparing to launch on Android and going mainstream.
Considering the demand for invites online, even the possibility of simply being let in by someone you know who is already on the app looks slim. Clubhouse’s priority has shifted from onboarding to maintenance so it’s best to either wait it out till the app opens to everyone or hope that you’re incredibly lucky.

How long does it take to start a club?
If you want to qualify to start your first Club, you’ll need to have hosted at least three recurring meetups which convinces the app that the topic of your club has garnered enough interest.
Any clubs that you want to start after this have a two week waiting period. This has been stipulated by the app to ensure that owners/moderators aren’t overwhelmed by their schedule.
