Where to get the Harpy Transformation Scroll
Before heading to Xardas’ Tower, travel to the Swamp Camp and locate Baal Cadar near his laboratory. He sells the Transform into a Harpy scroll for approximately 236 Ore.
Since flying transformations can occasionally be awkward to control, purchasing an extra scroll is a good precaution in case something goes wrong during the attempt.
The achievement takes place at Xardas’ Tower, the necromancer’s residence located in the Valley of Mines. The tower is a major story location and serves as Xardas’ base of operations. Your goal is not the main entrance or lower floors, but rather the upper section containing Xardas’ private room.
How to unlock In Bed With Xardas
Step 1
Acquire at least one Transform into a Harpy scroll from Baal Cadar in the Swamp Camp.
Step 2
Travel to Xardas’ Tower using the available teleport route or by reaching the tower normally.
Step 3
Move outside the tower and stand on the ground floor area before using the transformation scroll. This provides enough space to maneuver once transformed.
Step 4
Cast the Harpy transformation spell.
Step 5
Fly upward along the exterior of the tower until you reach the very top section. Take your time and carefully align yourself with the upper opening.
Step 6
Locate the small balcony and entryway near the top of the tower.
Step 7
Float through the opening and enter Xardas’ room.
Step 8
Once you successfully enter the room, the In Bed With Xardas trophy should immediately unlock. The achievement’s official requirement is simply to visit Xardas’ room.

Reaching Xardas’ room more reliably
Flying creatures can be difficult to control, especially around narrow openings. If you struggle to enter the balcony area, try approaching from slightly above the opening and gently descending into it. Many players report that entering from the upper side of the balcony is more consistent than attempting to fly directly into it from below.
The In Bed With Xardas achievement is one of the simpler hidden trophies in Gothic 1 Remake once you know the trick. Grab a Harpy Transformation Scroll, fly to the upper section of Xardas’ Tower, enter the private room, and the achievement will unlock instantly.
