In Gothic 1 Remake, you can get the Ancient Ore Armor in Chapter 1 by defeating Gomez and looting it from his bedroom chest in the Old Camp manor castle.

How to Get the Ancient Ore Armor Early
Step 1: Access the Inner Old Camp
Complete the quest in the outer ring to gain access to the inner part of the Old Camp where Gomez resides.
You’ll need this before attempting anything else.
Step 2: Assassinate the Upper-Floor Guard
Head up the stairs in the Old Camp manor and assassinate the guard standing on the upper floor.
This is not an unnamed NPC, so killing him is safe and makes your life significantly easier during the upcoming fights.
Step 3: Sleep Until Midnight
Return to your house and sleep until midnight.
This clears most people from the throne room, making it easier to isolate enemies.
Step 4: Isolate and Defeat Arto
Wander around the throne room until people start leaving.
Your goal is to isolate Arto (one of Gomez’s bodyguards) on his own:

If both Arto and Scar try to leave, talk to one of them to keep the other in place while the first walks away.

Make a save game before fighting.

Fight Arto quickly before anyone else shows up to help.

Loot his weapon after defeating him.
Tip: Defeating Arto first is recommended because he has good weapons, and if he helps Gomez later, he won’t have his weapon.
Step 5: Repeat for Scar
Return to your bed and sleep until midnight again. Repeat the isolation process with Scar:

Defeat him using the same isolation tactic.

Loot Scar’s Sword (the best one-handed sword in the game) after defeating him.
Step 6: Defeat Gomez
Go to sleep again and return to the throne room around 11:00 PM (Gomez leaves at midnight):

Wait until Gomez stands up at around midnight to leave.

Talk to him just as he stands up from the throne to delay his movement.

Find a gap where no one goes upstairs at the same time as him.

Follow him up the stairs (he should be alone since you killed the guard)

Attack and defeat him.
Step 7: Loot Gomez’s Items
After defeating Gomez, loot his body to obtain:

Innos’ Rage (best two-handed sword in the game)

Ring of Invincibility

Two Master Keys (opens chests in his bedroom).
Step 8: Access Gomez’s Bedroom

Return to your bed and switch to daytime (no NPCs in upper areas)

Go to the upper floor of the manor

Enter the room on the left (Gomez’s bedroom) using the Master Key

Bug note: If the key doesn’t work, try lockpicking the door, or follow Leia inside around 9:00 AM when she returns.

Use the key to get back out of the room
Step 9: Claim the Ancient Ore Armor
Inside Gomez’s room, there are two chests:

One chest contains the Ancient Ore Armor set (best armor in all of Gothic 1).

The other chest contains the Amulet of Fire.
Critical Mistakes to Avoid

Don’t skip killing the upper-floor guard – This guard will assist during your fight with Gomez, making it much harder.

Always save before fighting – These fights are tough; save frequently before attacking Arto, Scar, and Gomez.

Don’t fight Arto and Scar together – Fighting both simultaneously is extremely difficult; isolate them one at a time.

Return before midnight for Gomez – Gomez leaves at midnight, so arrive around 11:00 PM to catch him.

Don’t talk to Gomez too early – Wait until he stands up from the throne before talking to delay his movement.

Master Key might be bugged – If the key doesn’t open Gomez’s door, try lockpicking or waiting for Leia at 9:00 AM.
The Ancient Ore Armor is supposed to be the final armor you encounter late in the game, but getting it in Chapter 1 gives you a massive advantage for the rest of the game. Most players won’t find this armor until much later in the story, making this early access one of the most powerful early-game strategies available.
