How to Get the Royal Guard Armor (Step-by-Step Guide)
Step 1: Go to Mountain Fortress and Run Up the Tower
Head to the Mountain Fortress and normally run up the tower via the stairs. You’ll eventually fall down and enter a room.
Step 2: Return to the Sleeping Area and First Chest
Turn around in the room, return to the sleeping area, and go to a chest.
You don’t have the right key for this chest yet.
Step 3: Exit the Room and Climb Further Up the Tower
Go back out, through the door, all the way up, and walk slowly to a spot where you can climb.
Climb along and go all the way up the tower.
Step 4: Enter Through the Hole at the Tower Summit
At the top, you’ll see a hole.
Jump in.
Inside, hold right, continue upward.
Step 5: Defeat Harpies and Open the Chest at the Summit
There are a few Harpies there. Kill them or ignore them.
When you reach the top, there’s a chest – first kill the Harpies, then open the chest .
Step 6: Take the Chest Key and Return Down
Inside the chest, you’ll find the chest key (plus Rain of Enlightenment and Storm Fist with extra wind damage).
Climb down the wall, return to the room.
Step 7: Open the Locked Chest with the Key
Return to the locked chest (from Step 2). Open it now with the chest key.
Step 8: Pick Up the Royal Guard Armor
Inside the chest lies the Royal Guard Armor with some ore. Pick it up.

The Royal Guard Armor gives you 48 protection value (Edge & Blunt Resistance), making it a very powerful armor – especially valuable for later gameplay . It’s one of the stronger armors in the game.
