Get CM12.1 AudioFX equalizer on Android One devices

Android One runs stock Android like Nexus devices does, and it’s a pretty soothing experience. But you may feel like having some of the fun from the custom ROMs community. The CM12.1 ROM comes with a number of features, and while people still prefer to use pure, simple, vanilla Android, there are features like the AudioFX sound equalizer on CM12.1 that everyone wants.

Well, lucky you, Android One folks who are already running the Android 5.1.1 update. Developer joeyhuab over at XDA has ported the AudioFX equalizer from CM12.1 to Android One devices running on stock ROMs. The MOD comes as a recovery flashable zip file which you flash via any custom recovery of your choice. How to flash

Custom recovery required

1. Download and transfer the CM12.1 AudioFX .zip to your Android One device from the link above.
2. Boot your device into recovery mode.
3. Install the CM12.1 AudioFX .zip file.
   └ No need to wipe anything.
4. Reboot phone.
