Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus users have been waiting to get their hands-on the new Android 8.0 Oreo update. And although we haven’t heard anything official from Samsung, a new report has outlined the first countries where Samsung would release the Galaxy S8 Android Oreo beta update.
Before releasing a stable version, Samsung would have to test out the update among a certain group of beta testers. These are the users that have joined the Galaxy Beta program. Recently, a report stated that Sprint will start seeding the beta update from today. And now, the latest intel corroborates that report.

According to AndroidWorld, the first countries to receive the Android Oreo beta for the Galaxy S8 would be US, Korea, and the UK. After the first round of release, the second stage would see the software being released in Germany, Spain, France, Poland, India and China.
We are still looking at a public release date of January 2018, which has been sort of confirmed by Samsung Turkey. That’s still late, considering other manufacturers such as OnePlus and Nokia have already released beta versions for their flagship devices.

Android 8.0 Oreo would be a big update for the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, bringing along plenty of new features and improvements. Of course, Samsung would skin it with their Samsung Experience UI, and include some of their own features as well. As mentioned earlier, the phones should get a stable release only next year.
