Samsung has started rolling out the Lollipop update to its another Galaxy S5 LTE variant, SM-G900I, the firmware being G900IZTU1BOA1. G900I is an LTE handset, running Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and belongs to Asian market where the popular Galaxy S5 variant is G900H actually, running the Samsung’s own Exynos chip. Sadly, the Galaxy S5 G900H is yet to receive Lollipop update while those odd buyers of G900I can download the firmware, released in Taiwan btw, on their Galaxy S5 and get a taste of Lollipop anywhere in the world.

The build is based on Android 5.0, not 5.0.1 or 5.0.2, and would feature Samsung’s heavy and bloated TouchWiz obviously.

Talking about the Lollipop update, HTC updates its HTC One M8 unlocked and developer editions too yesterday to Android 5.0, while one for LG G2 isn’t far from release.

Full details of the firmware are as below.

  • Model: SM-G900I
  • Model name: GALAXY S5

If you own a Galaxy S5 handset whose model no. is SM-G900I exactly, you can download this firmware and install it on your S5, no matter in which part of the world you reside.
