ChatGPT’s Library has a new name and a bigger job. At DevDay on September 29, 2026, OpenAI launched ChatGPT Space, a home for your pages, files and shared work that you edit together with ChatGPT and other people. OpenAI’s FAQ says “Library is now Space” for Pro, Business and Enterprise users. Its main new piece is the page, a document that ChatGPT can keep up to date.

What ChatGPT Space is
Space is the home for the pages and files you create, upload and share in ChatGPT, including spreadsheets and presentations, and lets you work on them with others. Within it, you can make a space for a topic or a team, such as a research project, and share the whole space so collaborators see every page in it. You can also make a single page and share just that.
OpenAI’s Thibault Sottiaux (Tibo) described it as “a collection of new collaborative experiences right in ChatGPT” and, for developers, “AGENTS.md taken one step further”.

Linked files keep their original permissions. Anything you copy or summarize onto a page, though, is visible to everyone who can open that page.
What you can do on a ChatGPT page
OpenAI calls pages “a new type of document, built for human and agent collaboration”. You can start one from a blank page, from notes, or from an existing conversation.
Edit Write together in real time
People with edit access can work on the same page at once. Each person uses their own ChatGPT to ask questions or make changes.
Blocks Add more than text
Typing / opens a menu of blocks: tables, code, checklists, tasks, images, and interactive visualizations such as calculators and diagrams.
@ Mention people, ChatGPT or your dot
Comments can tag a teammate, or @mention ChatGPT or your dot to make a change or take the next step.
Auto Keep a page up to date
Give a page instructions on what to update, which sources to use and how often. OpenAI’s example is a to-do list that pulls items from Slack, email and your calendar.
Meeting notes also land here. The new Meetings plugin, a beta for the macOS app on Pro and Business, saves each meeting’s summary and action items as a page in Space.
Which plans and devices get ChatGPT Space
Space is available on ChatGPT Pro, Business and Enterprise plans. On phones you can find, read and share pages, but not create or edit them at launch.

When collaborative slides arrive, OpenAI says you’ll be able to build a deck from a conversation or your own template, edit it with teammates and agents at the same time, and export it to PowerPoint or Google Slides. On Business and Enterprise, Space is also subject to what your workspace admin allows.
On Plus or Go?
OpenAI lists Space only for Pro, Business and Enterprise plans, and hasn’t said what happens to Library on Plus, Go or Free.
Sharing a page doesn’t give anyone your private chats or personal memory. Anything you or ChatGPT write on the page is visible to everyone with access, though, and that includes personal details ChatGPT drew from memory while writing it. On a personal plan, you invite people by email from a page’s Share menu and choose view or edit access. On a workspace plan, you can invite people or teams in your workspace, if teams are enabled, and your admin’s sharing rules still apply.
OpenAI doesn’t train on Business or Enterprise data by default. On individual accounts, your own training and memory settings apply to shared pages.

Did ChatGPT remove Library?
On Pro, Business and Enterprise, Library became Space. OpenAI describes Space as the home for the pages and files you create, upload and share, and says it “replaces Library”.
Can collaborators see my ChatGPT history?
No. Sharing a page doesn’t give collaborators your private chats or personal memory, but they can see anything written on the page, including personal details drawn from memory.
Can I edit pages on my phone?
Not yet. The mobile app can find, read and share pages; editing on mobile is coming soon.
