The early Golden Egg sits inside the ruins south of the lake near Subcity 03. Look for the lower side of the ruined structure, then push into the dark ruin passage until you find the basket on a stone ledge.
Set your waypoint from the Subcity 03 campfire before dropping down, because the route pulls you toward the lower side of the ruined building rather than the top.

Once you enter the ruin interior, keep to the narrow passage and watch for enemy pressure around the corridor. The loot spot is not a chest in the open; it is a purple-glowing basket resting on a stone ledge inside the dark, vine-covered ruins.
Open the basket and take the Golden Egg from the item pop-up. The item text reads: “An egg produced in the Coop. A merchant may take this off your hands.”
Golden Egg use after pickup
After collecting it, the Golden Egg appears under Valuables with a held count of 1 / 99. It is meant as a merchant-facing valuable, and Golden Eggs sell for 600 amber.
The item description ties it to the Coop, but its display behavior in the Cleanse Walker is unclear from this pickup. Treat this early one as a valuable to keep or sell, not as the start of a full egg-farming route.
Basket Golden Egg and Bird Nest eggs
This ruins pickup is a fixed basket loot route. That is separate from Bird Nest finds, where Fertilized Eggs can sometimes appear as Golden Eggs near chickens.
