When you hear “AVG”, the first thing that comes to your mind is “Antivirus”. The same AVG company has launched a new app on the Google Play Store and it’s not an antivirus app, which for the unaware is already available on the Google Play Store.
The app we are talking about is the VPN app for Android platform. The new app goes by the moniker AVG Secure VPN. Similar to all VPN apps, the AVG VPN app lets you browse privately and anonymously on any internet connection.

Again, the app lets you unblock apps or websites that are blocked at certain locations. It also lets you encrypt public Wi-Fi hotspot connections, which in turn prevents hackers from stealing your data.
The AVG VPN app provides two useful features. One is the widget that lets you turn VPN on/off with just one tap and in the second feature, VPN automatically reconnects when switching from mobile data to Wi-Fi.
While the app provides a trial period, you have to pay after 7 days if you want a monthly subscription or after 14 days if you go with a yearly subscription.
