After being on hiatus for the past couple of months, the HTC One X10 is back in the news once again. HTC’s budget smartphone was the talk of the town back in early January. But, we haven’t heard much about it since then.
And today, what appears to be a press image of the One X10 surfaced online, thanks to Evan Blass aka evleaks. As its clearly visible from the image, the One X10 will supposedly feature a massive battery. Interestingly, the inclusion of a bigger battery is one thing we haven’t heard in the past.
Also, judging by the image, the fingerprint scanner will be placed on the backside of the smartphone just under the camera module which is not so HTC.

Previous leaks revealed that the One X10 will feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display, and will be powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 chipset. It is tipped to pack 3GB of RAM teamed up with 32GB of onboard storage space. As for the imaging, there will be a 16MP camera on the back and an 8MP shooter at the front for selfie enthusiasts.
The phone will supposedly run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box and is expected to ship at around $300. Earlier, it was scheduled to launch in Q1 2017. Clearly, it didn’t happen. So, expect it to be unveiled anytime soon.

I love the idea of a bigger battery, I would much rather have a little bit thicker phone if it meant i’d get a higher capacity battery.
again and again why did htc has a such big crush on mediatek soc they are nothing like anything wont perform well in gaming segment as snapdragon soc’s. so please dont bulid with mediatek chipset for midrangers & flagship mobiles.
The only thing that I wish the HTC One X10 had is more storage. 32 GB is just too small for most consumers today. At the least the price is fairly reasonable.
I agree 32 GB is not enough space for many consumers, hopefully it includes expandable storage.

HTC’s decision to stick with the mediatek processors, is interesting. Some of those processors, like the Helio X series are really good, and can prove a challenge to SD processors, but the P series processors, are average at best, and for 300$ dollars, there are better choices that come with SD 650/652, and cost lesser than them. Hopefully, Htc realizes that soon.
