Anime Expedition Gear Guide: Requirements, Farming Route, and Stats

Anime Expeditions equipment is split between broad stat gear and unit-bound pieces, so the fastest route is not one farm repeated forever. Start by unlocking the Armory, then use the item list below to decide whether you need crafting, a Story area drop, a Mastery route, Crow Hideout, or the Villain Invasion Shop.

Equipment types before you farm

Standard Equipment is the flexible category. These pieces are generally used for stats such as Damage, Range, Crit Chance, Crit Damage, and SPA, and they can be equipped by regular units.

Unit Equipment is tied to a specific character, usually as a stronger late-game piece with a specialized passive. If a unit-bound item will not slot, you are usually trying it on the wrong unit or on a unit that has not reached the required evolved form.

Armory unlock and crafting route

Open Areas

Go to the Areas menu from the game hub.

Choose Expedition

Select the Expedition area.

Enter at Level 20

The Expedition area and Armory require Level 20.

Open the Armory

Use the Armory screen to view craftable equipment and the required materials.

Craft the item

Pick the equipment piece you want and use the listed materials shown in-game.

Most Standard Equipment pieces are crafted here. The exact recipes are shown inside the in-game Armory screen, so check the item page before spending Expedition materials.

Story and Mastery equipment drops

Story equipment farming comes from clearing Act 5 of a region on Hard, or from the matching Mastery stage. Drops are chance-based, so a clear can finish without giving the equipment piece, and you simply repeat the route for another roll.

Kunai is the clean early example: it can come from School Grounds farming, with the Armory also giving you a crafting route. Early Mastery numbers such as 5% drops and a 20-clear pity have appeared in player tracking, but treat exact rates as patch-sensitive and check the current in-game stage card before planning a long farm around them.

Standard Equipment farming route

Standard Equipment is your general-use gear pool. Most pieces come from the Armory, Story area drops, or both, which means you can build useful stat gear while still progressing your account toward unit-specific equipment.

Enhanced Katana

Get Enhanced Katana from the Armory. Its crafting screen lists the materials you need, so use it after unlocking the Expedition area at Level 20.

Dragon Hit

Dragon Hit is an Armory craft focused on crit scaling. It gives Critical Damage and Critical Chance, making it a direct damage piece for units that benefit from crit stats.

Accured Equipment

Accured Equipment comes from the Armory. Its main listed benefit is -10% SPA, so use it when attack speed matters more than raw range or crit bonuses.

Three Swords From Hell

Craft Three Swords From Hell at the Armory. It gives a 15% Damage boost, making it one of the simpler Standard Equipment choices when you just need more output.

Shinigami Sword

Shinigami Sword drops from Spirit City at a small chance. Its shown stats are Damage and Critical Chance, so it fits damage dealers that already want crit support.

Staff of Chaos

Staff of Chaos is an Armory piece for magical attackers. It gives Magical Damage dealt and reduces SPA, combining stronger hits with faster attacks.

Elf Suitcase

Craft Elf Suitcase at the Armory. It gives Magical Damage dealt and Range, which makes it useful for magical units that need better coverage.

Cursed Finger

Cursed Finger comes from the Armory and is built around bleed damage. Its passive increases Bleed DoT Damage by 2% to 5% per bleed stack applied to an enemy, up to a 20% cap.

Use it on a unit that can reliably apply bleed stacks. On the wrong unit, the passive value falls off because the item needs repeated bleed application to reach its ceiling.

Pirate’s Slingshot

Pirate’s Slingshot is a range-focused Standard Equipment piece. Its listed stat is +15% Range, so prioritize it for units that need more lane coverage.

Magic Book

Get Magic Book from King’s Tomb or craft it through the Armory. Having both routes makes it a good target to chase while you are also building crafting materials.

Kunai

Kunai comes from School Grounds farming and the Armory. For the drop route, farm School Grounds Act 5 on Hard or use the matching Mastery route when available.

Its shown stats are 10% Damage and -5% SPA, which makes it one of the cleaner early Standard Equipment upgrades for general DPS units.

Raid Cape

Raid Cape is crafted from the Armory. It gives 10% Damage and 5% Range, so it works well when you want a balanced offensive piece.

Bamboo Bottle

Bamboo Bottle comes from the Armory. It also has a passive, so check the item panel before crafting and match it to a unit that can actually use that effect.

Magic Orb

Get Magic Orb from Rose Kingdom or craft it at the Armory. If the area drop is not landing, the crafting route gives you another path.

Katana

Katana comes from Flower Forest and the Armory. It is also part of the Standard Equipment pool you can target while farming early regions.

Warrior’s Axe

Warrior’s Axe comes from Fairy King Forest and the Armory. Farm the region route when you are clearing Story progression, then craft later if needed.

Soul Splitter

Soul Splitter is available from the Armory. Open its item page at the Armory to check its current stat roll before committing materials.

Unit Equipment farming route

Unit Equipment is exclusive gear for specific units, usually stronger or more specialized than Standard Equipment. These pieces can come from routes such as Mastery, Crow Hideout, the Villain Invasion Shop, or crafting, depending on the item.

Because these pieces are unit-bound, treat them as late-game targets for your main carries. A powerful exclusive item is wasted if you have not built or evolved the unit that can equip it.

Illusion Crow

Illusion Crow is the on-screen Unit Equipment name, while the event shop segment also shows a related Crow’s Ring purchase using Villain Coins. Use the Villain Invasion Shop route for this Crow-linked equipment line, but check the current event shop name before spending currency because the listing names have shifted across early displays.

Predator’s Skull

Predator’s Skull is shown as a Crow Hideout item. Farm that route when you are targeting this unit-bound equipment piece.

Memory Pendant

Memory Pendant is Unit Equipment. Use its item page route and equip it only on the matching unit once that unit meets the requirement.

Dark Scepter

Dark Scepter is Unit Equipment. Check its item panel for the current route, then save it for the specific character it belongs to.

Hexed Blade

Hexed Blade has an important crafting route, so plan to use the Armory or crafting station materials when chasing it. Early farming notes have treated it as craft-only, but that label is patch-sensitive, so check the current item page before ignoring Mastery entirely.

Hair Bells

Hair Bells is Unit Equipment. Farm it through the route shown on its item page and keep it for the unit it is bound to.

Spirit of the Moonblade

Spirit of the Moonblade is Unit Equipment. Its value depends on the matching unit, so do not reroll or discard it before checking whether you are building that character.

Elven Bottle Staff

Elven Bottle Staff is Unit Equipment. Use the item page route and slot it only onto its matching unit.

Calamity’s Eye

Calamity’s Eye is Unit Equipment. Keep it tied to its intended character instead of treating it like general stat gear.

Boulder

Boulder is Unit Equipment. Farm its listed route once you know the unit it belongs to is part of your team plan.

Webbed Fruit

Webbed Fruit is Unit Equipment. Use the item panel route and save upgrades for the unit that can equip it.

Promise Ring

Promise Ring is Unit Equipment. It should be kept for its matching unit rather than moved around like Standard Equipment.

Technique Amplifier

Technique Amplifier is Unit Equipment. Farm the route shown on its item page and only invest rerolls if that unit is one of your main carries.

Hell’s Flower

Hell’s Flower is Unit Equipment. Its use is tied to a specific character, so check the equip requirement before spending resources on it.

Emperor’s Attire

Emperor’s Attire is Unit Equipment. Treat it as an exclusive piece and reserve it for the character it belongs to.

Rerolls, locks, and farming priorities

Equipment Rerolls are used to change equipment substats, while Equipment Locks let you preserve one chosen stat while rerolling the rest. These are not resources to burn on weak early gear; save them for strong Unit Equipment or late-game Standard Equipment you expect to keep.

Mistakes that slow equipment farming

The most common mistake is trying to equip Unit Equipment on the wrong character or on a unit that has not reached the required form. If the item refuses to slot, check the unit requirement before assuming the gear is bugged.

Do not farm every item from the same place. Some pieces are Armory crafts, some are Story area drops, some belong to Mastery, and a few use event or shop routes. Also avoid leaving a Mastery route too early when you are close to its pity, and do not waste rerolls on gear you will replace quickly.
