Amazon’s Alexa is now available on HTC U11 handsets in the UK which makes the smartphone first in the world to achieve the feat.
If you are a Brit, all you have to do is to install the HTC Alexa app on your HTC U11 handset from the Google Play Store, and you can start using the AI-based assistant right away instead of Google Assistant.
Users can invoke Alexa by saying the hot-word, of course. But since you are using the HTC U11, you can just squeeze your handset to summon it.

Also, in case you are wondering, you can use Google Assistant as well as the Amazon Alexa without affecting the other. You just have to enable both of them to use whichever the assistant you want.
HTC has been teasing the integration of Amazon’s Alexa for a while now. The company had only recently rolled out the feature in the US for the U11 handsets, and now it’s available in the UK too. The app is expected to support the German language shortly as well.
