  • You can now unsubscribe from mailing lists with a single tap directly from this page.

  • After unsubscribing, it may take a few days for emails from those senders to stop arriving.

Gmail is introducing a new 'Manage subscriptions' feature for Android users, aiming to simplify the process of handling unwanted email subscriptions. This update brings a dedicated page within the Gmail app where you can view all your active email subscriptions in one organized list. Each entry displays the sender's name or email address and shows how many emails you have received from that source recently.

Next to each subscription, you will find an 'Unsubscribe' button. Tapping this button allows you to quickly opt out of receiving further emails from that sender. In most cases, the process completes with a single tap, though some senders may require you to finish the process in a browser window.

Gmail notes that it might take a few days for senders to stop delivering emails after you unsubscribe, which is standard for most mailing lists.

This new feature is currently rolling out as a server-side update and is only available on Android devices. You can access the 'Manage subscriptions' page from the app's side menu, typically found just below the Trash folder.

While the feature is not yet visible on iOS or the web version of Gmail, Google has confirmed that it will gradually expand to those platforms in the future.

Previously, Gmail offered an 'Unsubscribe' link within individual emails, but this new hub centralizes the process, making it easier to manage multiple subscriptions at once. The rollout is ongoing, so if you do not see the feature yet, it should appear in your app soon as Google continues to expand availability.
