How to get the prison-door canister skull in Halo: Campaign Evolved

Find the locked prison door

Turn to the door with a fire on each side and locate the two fusion canisters, one in each fire.

Destroy both canisters

Blow up both fusion canisters; if one has moved or looks gone, check the ground around the fire before leaving.

Let the door open

Once both canisters are gone, wait for the prison door to start opening.

Pick up the skull inside

Walk through the opened doorway and grab the skull from the floor, with rocket launchers nearby for the Wraith.

Gold-armored Elite appearances before the pylon skull in Halo: Campaign Evolved

1. Start the chain in the Jackal sniper grove — Shoot the gold-armored Elite in the mushroom-like tree area before the Jackal snipers pull your attention away.
2. Use a beam rifle for the Wraith-path shot — Pick up the beam rifle from the Jackal on the edge if you need a clean angle, then shoot the Elite again near the Wraith path.
3. Shoot the Elite on the prison ridge — At the prison-ending fight, hit the gold-armored Elite on the left ridge.
4. Clear the central pylon area — After the third shot, eliminate the enemies around the middle pylon so you can climb without pressure.
5. Climb around the pylon — Work your way around the central pylon toward the raised middle platform.
6. Grab the pylon skull — Pick up the skull once you reach the platform in the middle of the pylon.

How to get the high ledge skull after the twin bridges in Halo: Campaign Evolved

The high ledge skull is beyond the cave gate after the two bridge activations, and solo players need a frag-grenade boost to reach it.

1. Activate the twin bridges — Finish the two-bridge sequence, deal with the Banshees, and cross the second bridge into the cave stretch.
2. Reach the large cave gate — Move through the cave until you reach the big door at the far end.
3. Clear the gate area — Kill the enemies on the other side first so the jump attempts are not interrupted.
4. Grab the frag grenades opposite the ledge — Pick up the frag grenades from the opposite side of the area; use frags for the solo boost, not plasma grenades.
5. Locate the fire on the high ledge — Look up to the ledge with the fire, because the skull is sitting in that flame.
6. Throw and jump with the frag grenade — Throw a frag grenade and time your jump so the explosion boosts you onto the first ledge.
7. Climb from the first ledge to the bushes — From the first ledge, jump up toward the bushy second ledge and work across the rock.
8. Pick up the skull in the fire — Grab the skull from the fire at the top; in co-op, stack or jump on another player to skip the grenade jump.

The Most Dangerous Game skull mistakes to avoid

The prison-door skull stays hidden if only one fusion canister breaks. There is one canister in each fire beside the locked door, and one can move or land awkwardly, so check the ground if the door still will not open.

The pylon skull depends on the gold-armored Elite chain. Shooting only the prison-ridge high-value target is not enough; all three appearances have to be hit during the same mission run.

For the high ledge skull, use frag grenades for the solo boost. Plasma grenades do not give the same workable jump in this route, and pushing through the area before clearing enemies can cost you an easy checkpoint near the hard jump.
