After the events of Chapter 3, “The Heart of the Matter,” the 4th Chapter introduces you to the Q-Lab and several core gadgets in 007 First Light. This chapter is short, but it still contains two important collectibles tied to the “For Your Eyes Only” intel collection set. Both are found during the “Meet and Greet” objective inside the Q-Lab.

Progress through the mission until you enter the large Q-Lab area where Bond meets Q and Selina Tan. Once inside the lab, head toward the back-right corner of the room instead of speaking to Q immediately.
Look for two scientists standing near a cupboard and printer and interacting with equipment.
The Workshop Notice (Selina Tan) collectible is sitting directly on the cupboard beside them. Interact with it to collect the intel.
This is usually the first collectible most players encounter in the chapter. The Q-Watch scanner is not yet required here, although it can help highlight nearby interactable objects later.

Continue the mission and speak with Q to trigger the Q-Watch tutorial sequence. Complete the short scanning demonstration. You must do this first because the collectible does not become interactable beforehand.
After the tutorial, turn around and look behind where Q was initially standing.
Near the green Land Rover test chamber, you will find a computer terminal. Interact with the computer to obtain the Recruit Stats (00 Recruits) intel collectible.
This collectible is commonly missed because it only appears after speaking to Q and finishing the watch tutorial. Many players check the computer too early and assume it is non-interactive.
Using the Q-Watch to locate collectibles
Chapter 4 is important because it introduces the Q-Watch collectible scanner mechanic. After obtaining the watch, pressing the scan button highlights nearby collectibles in yellow. This becomes extremely useful in later chapters where collectibles are hidden inside larger stealth environments.

Because collectibles save immediately after pickup, you can safely leave the mission once they are collected if you are using Chapter Select cleanup.
Q-Watch progression in 007 First Light
Although Chapter 4 only contains two collectibles, it becomes one of the most important missions for completionists because it teaches the core scanning mechanic used throughout the rest of the game. Learning to regularly scan rooms with the Q-Watch makes later collectible-heavy chapters significantly easier.
The Q-Lab itself also contains several non-collectible lore objects that can confuse players. Only items showing the collectible interaction indicator count toward completion progress.
“The Heart of the Matter” is one of the easiest collectible chapters in 007 First Light, but the second intel file is easy to overlook if you do not revisit Q’s computer after the tutorial. Once both intel files are collected, you will fully complete Chapter 4’s collectible set and be ready for the larger stealth-focused missions later in the story.
