After the Redmi Note 4X, Redmi Note 6 Pro and Redmi 5A, Xiaomi is now rolling out the stable MIUI 10 to the Redmi 5 as software version 10.1.2.
The Redmi 5 recently got an update to Android 8.1 Oreo courtesy of MIUI 10 beta 8.11.8, which has since been updated to version 8.11.14 that surprisingly came with November 2018 security patch. However, the stable MIUI 10 being outed has Nougat 7.1 as the base OS alongside an updated security patch level.

Xiaomi has just commenced rolling out the update and since its airborne, it may take several days before all Redmi 5 units get the download notification. Alternatively, you can grab the firmware via the download link below and install it manually.
