Xiaomi today started the rollout of the stable MIUI 9 beta for owners of the Redmi 4X Global variant. The new update bumps the phone to version V9.6.5.0.NAMMIFD and will be coming in OTA (over-the-air) form.

Like it’s often the case with these updates, it might take some time before the new MIUI 9.6.5 update reaches your Redmi 4X. So if you’re not seeing it yet on your phone, don’t fret! It’s probably on its way.

Note that this a stable Global beta which means that it comes with Google Play services and a lot more languages options than the Chinese ROM would. That’s because Xiaomi has intended it for a global audience, and not the Chinese one.

MIUI 10

Xiaomi flagship update of the year 2018 is MIUI 10, which was announced back in June but is now being made available to all the eligible devices gradually.

The best version of MIUI 10 is available for Redmi 4X too, which can be downloaded from our MIUI download page here.

Android 9 Pie

Xiaomi has begun rolling out Android 9 update for some of its devices. Earlier today the company launched the Android 9 Pie update for Mi 8 handset and Mi 8 Explorer Edition while it’s been already available for the Mi Mix 2S for some time.

As regards the Android 9 update for Redmi 4X, well, the device is not eligible for the Android Pie as it’s quite old now. It was apparent BTW as the device didn’t even receive an upgrade to Oreo either.
