It’s a happy day for Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition users in China, as the company has started rolling out the MIUI 10 China Stable ROM. And that’s beside the Android 9 update from Xiaomi that is available as MIUI 8.9.20 (beta ROM).

It comes as V10.0.6.0.OEHCNFH and should hit your phone in a form of an OTA (over-the-air) update. The new build will be released in waves, so some users might get it sooner than others. Nevertheless, make sure to check the Updater app on your device to check to see if the update has arrived.

If you’re too excited to wait, then you can manually download the ROM packages (below).

Xiaomi has also included a change long for the new release in the announcement post. Here are some new features you can expect to see once you update your device to MIUI 10:

  • New UI optimized for a full-screen experience
  • Ambient noises added including Forest, Beach, Summer Night, etc
  • Smart alarms with weather info
  • Mi AI machine learning program

The Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition launched a few months ago with Android 8.1 Oreo pre-install. The phone ships with a 6.21-inch AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 845 SoC and dual 12MP main cameras.
