What Does Technoking Mean?

Over the course of history, conquerors and creators have taken the liberty to pick suitable aliases — or crowns — for themselves. The names or designations haven’t always been smash hits, but that has never stopped the geniuses and eccentrics from going all out. Today, we’ll take a look at the latest doing of one of the richest men in the world, and tell you what “Technoking”  actually means.

Who is “Technoking”?

Tesla and SpaceX founder, Elon Musk, has made quite a reputation for being one of the most erratic, exciting, and unconventional men in the world. He’s been leading multiple industries at once and never seems to shy away from enjoying a round of applause. His latest decision might set a few people off, but Mr. Musk is not afraid of embracing his title as the “Technoking of Tesla.”

As you may have guessed already, the crown is completely born out of Musk’s imagination, and we cannot claim that the title doesn’t fit him. Go to his Twitter handle to check it out.

What does “Technoking” mean?

Elon Musk has had quite a hard time keeping his act together as the CEO of Tesla. His Twitter ramblings have cost his company and himself billions of dollars, forcing him to take a sabbatical. Now that he’s been in a more peaceful frame of mind and reigning supreme as the founder, he’s decided to give his CEO role a revamp. The new title — “Technoking of Tesla” — replaces his old and conventional chief executive moniker. It doesn’t come with any other perks, as far as we are concerned, but the title has definitely become a lot cooler.

Musk, surprisingly, hasn’t taken to Twitter to explain the meaning of his new title. So, there is not a clear explanation of the term, except the obvious: King of technology. And few would disagree with Mr. Musk on that, we think. Given how highly he rates himself, crowning himself as the technological king of Tesla hardly comes as a surprise.

What does “Master of Coin” mean?

We’ve already shed a light on the “Technoking of Tesla” moniker. But the fun of remodeling didn’t stop there for the self-proclaimed king of Tesla. He invited Tesla’s chief investment officer, Zach Kirkhorn to the party, branding him as the “Master of Coin” of Tesla. “Game of Thrones” buffs would know that “Westeros” associated the “Master of Coin” title with the chief financial advisor of the realm. We’re not sure how big of a Game of Thrones fan Musk is, but Kirkhorn’s new title certainly fits him like a glove.

Fun fact: Kirkhorn-led Tesla invested $1.5bn in BitCoin in 2021. So, this new title might also be a reference to Kirkhorn’s cryptocurrency exploits.
