This week Vivo took to Weibo to post some interesting stuff about its new FlashCharge fast battery charging technology.
According to the post, which also includes a short video, the new fast-charging tech will fill up your 4000mAh battery in just 13 minutes of charging. This is thanks to the massive 120W the tech is able to pump into the battery.
Honestly, this is simply insane, but it’s not official yet. If it does materialize, it’d become the fastest battery charging tech yet. There were claims that Samsung could debut the Galaxy Note 10 with up to 45W fast charging tech, but these rumors have since been rubbished.
Instead, Samsung is said to be working on debuting the said 45W fast battery charging tech on the Galaxy A90 later this year. Still, this will be nothing close to Vivo’s 120W FlashCharge. Oppo has 50W fast charging while Huawei and OnePlus have 40W and 30W fast charging tech, respectively.
At the moment, the best you get on any Samsung device is 25W fast charging, which is currently limited to the Galaxy S10 5G, Galaxy A80, and Galaxy A70.
