Verizon is going to create 5G magic, with its release in select cities set for April 11. If you’re ready maybe you should make sure your phone is too. If that is not the case, don’t worry Verizon has you covered.

The company has just begun rolling out the much-awaited Android Pie update for the Moto Z3, and beside the new features in Android 9, the update also brings support for 5G Moto Mod.

With the Android 9 Pie update, the Z3 gets a swanky new UI in the recents panel, Gesture Navigation, better volume controls, text zooming, refreshed notification panel, and that’s not all. You also get new features like Adaptive Brightness, Adaptive Battery, Digital Wellbeing, Dark mode, App Actions, App Slices, Easier Screen Rotation, improved DND mode, and more.

More importantly, as mentioned above, the update equips the Moto Z3 with 5G Moto Mod support. While the rest of the world struggles with 4G speeds, Z3 owners will get the first taste of the future with Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband Network.

The Pie update for Verizon Moto Z3 comes as software version PDX29.84-30.

If you have a Moto Z3, it’s time you get ready for 5G heaven.

Now, let’s hope Verizon realizes it’s running a bit late with the Galaxy S8 and Note 8 Pie rollout — they are the only carrier to not have released Android 9 for these two handsets.
