Verizon Moto Z3 receives update enabling Wi-Fi calling

The Moto Z3 is quite a great device albeit a bit underrated. Nonetheless, the Verizon Moto Z3 is now receiving an OTA update which finally enables Wi-Fi calling on the device.

Most devices already have the Wi-Fi calling feature enabled and now Moto Z3 users can also take advantage of the Wi-Fi calling feature which should be enabled after installing the new update.

The update doesn’t bring along any other major changes and the software version of the update is ODX28.66-18-6-2 and brings along the December security patch which is kind of disappointing; however, isn’t something major that would affect the user experience.

Users should be receiving the update notification on their devices by now and should tap on Yes, I’m in to begin downloading the update and then select Install now to begin installing the update on their device.

For those who haven’t received the update notification on their device, simply check for the update manually via the Settings page. The Wi-Fi calling feature lets users place a call by using Wi-Fi when there isn’t any mobile network available in the area.

Troy, I have the same problem as you. My husband and I have Z3 and Z3 Play phones without wifi calling. Our phones are supposedly up to date also, but the date is 2018, with no other updates being offered. We are with Verizon. Did Dwayne ever respond to you?
