The Verizon LG G5 units are getting new firmware update that includes the latest security patches. The update arrives as build number VS98727A and brings with January security patch.

The update is being seeded out as over the air and should hit your devices any time soon. However, if you are not one of the patient ones, check it manually by heading to the Settings » About phone » Software updates menu.

Do note that your phone needs to more than 50% percent charged before you start the download. And of course, it is advisable to get connected to a Wifi network to download the OTA update.

Verizon, way back in December last year, rolled out the Android 7.0 Nougat to the LG G5 users.
