The two devices from LG – LG G4 and LG V10, are currently receiving a new OTA update that brings the latest security patch. Both the devices were launched in 2015.

Verizon is now distributing a new update as an OTA, whose software version is VS99028A for LG V10 and VS9862BA for LG G4. For LG V10 build VS99028A earlier build number was VS99027A and for LG G4 build VS9862BA earlier build number was VS9862AA.

Both the devices run on Android Marshmallow, however, the LG V10 has been confirmed to receive the Nougat update, although we are not sure when the update will be released.

It is advisable to connect to a good Wi-Fi network before downloading the update and make sure you have enough free storage. Further, keep your handset charged as high as 50 percent.

And, if you haven’t received the update yet, you can check for it manually via the device settings. Go to Settings – About – Software updates.
