A new Verizon branded Asus tablet has just cleared the FCC. The Asus tablet carries the model number Asus P00J (ZT582KL) and is a Verizon exclusive. Now, we’re not really sure what to make of this.
Last year, Verizon and Asus launched the ZenPad Z8, which had the model number ZT581KL. This new tablet isn’t much different when comparing the model numbers. There is a possibility that this is an updated version of the ZenPad Z8.
However, it is also possible that this is the Asus ZenPad Z9. We aren’t sure what Verizon would call it, but i. Since the tablet only just passed through the FCC, it could take a while to be officially announced. Or Verizon could just silently update the tablet and not tell anyone about it.
The Zenpad Z8, a Verizon exclusive, featured a 7.9-inch display, a Snapdragon 650 processor, 2GB of RAM, an 8MP rear camera, 16Gb of internal storage, and a 4680 mAh battery. This new variant could just be a refreshed version with updated specs. We would have to wait to find out!
