Update VS98535B for Verizon LG G3 makes it Android 5.1.1

A new software update is rolling out for Verizon LG G3 users today, with software version VS98535B. This brings the Android 5.1.1 update for Verizon LG G3, and this comes after all other variants of the G3 received the same update for quite some time now.

Anyway, only if the update happened two days ago, Verizon G3 users could have claimed to be running the latest Android version in 5.1.1 — a big, really big claim if you are on Verizon — but not now, as Android 6.0 just dropped onto us yesterday.

Anyway, to pull the Android 5.1.1 update on your Verizon LG G3, head into Settings > About phone > Software updates, and then check for an update under system updates.

Good luck with that! The update is sized around 353 MB, so make sure you have a good WiFi connection up and running.

Btw, T-Mobile has already announced that its G3 will receive Marshmallow update, but Verizon, like AT&T and Sprint, has kept dud on the matter so far.

We fully expect the International LG G3 to score 6.0 update before US Carriers, but Verizon could easily come last down the order in case of 6.0 update, for obvious reasons. Let’s see how Verizon G3 keeps up.
