Unlocked Galaxy S10 and S10+ get update improving fingerprint sensor and camera performance

S10 ASD3 Update

Samsung has been rolling out updates left, right, and center these past couple of months and had just released the Android Pie update for the Tab S4 a day ago. We’re now seeing a new update arriving on unlocked Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus devices.

This information was brought to light thanks to a couple of users on Reddit who’ve shared screenshots of the update arriving on their Galaxy S10 devices. Reddit user rainpl shared a screenshot of the update carrying the build number ASD3.

In a similar post, another user on the platform posted a screenshot showing the update. The screenshot was shared by Reddit user ShockingLegend. The update brings along the same improvements as the previous updates for carrier branded Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus devices.

The improvements that come along with the update are for the fingerprint sensor and the camera performance hence if you’ve been facing issues with the fingerprint sensor, then, fortunately, after installing the latest update you might be relieved.

The update carries the March security patch which is a bummer, although it’s just the second week of the month so we aren’t complaining. Unlocked Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus users should receive the update notification at any moment; however, if you aren’t willing to wait, then you could check for the update manually as well.

⇒ Settings > Software update > Download and install.
